Julia Engelmann

Julia Engelmann has a diverse range of work experience spanning several industries. Julia began their professional career as a Freelance Writer for VRM from April 2007 to September 2008. In 2013, they worked as a Marketing and Communications Intern at Continental from September to December, and also as a Sales Promoter at Takagi Co., Ltd. from March 2013 to August 2014. In 2016, they joined circ gmbh & co kg as an Executive Assistant from January to May. From September 2016 to January 2018, Julia worked as a Researcher/ Content Manager - Japan at Statista. Julia then progressed within the company, holding the position of Assistant Head of Research Asia Pacific from February 2018 to June 2020, and subsequently served as the Assistant Head of Research Asia Pacific/ Team Lead Japan from July 2020 to January 2022. Currently, they hold the role of Head of Research East Asia at Statista, starting in January 2022.

Julia Engelmann attended Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München from 2008 to 2015, where they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Japanische Studien. In addition, they participated in an Intensive Japanese Language Program at 国士舘大学 from 2012 to 2013.
