Andrew Smith

Andrew Smith is a seasoned professional in mergers and acquisitions, currently serving as SVP Head of M&A and Investment Analysis at Statkraft since September 2014. In this role, Andrew leads projects focused on acquiring renewable energy assets globally. Previously, Andrew held various positions including VP of Mergers & Acquisitions and Internal Audit lead at Sapa A.S. Additionally, Andrew has experience as CEO of Portalex Alumínio S.A., where leadership was provided during a significant transition, and as Finance & Administration Director at Hydro Alumínio Portalex. Andrew's extensive career also includes several senior roles at Norsk Hydro from 1995 to 2012, covering areas such as controlling, eProcurement, and supply chain management. Andrew holds a Doctorandus degree in Latin American Studies from Utrecht University and a Baccalaureat in Natural Sciences from Lycee Francais Vincent van Gogh.
