Rafay Latif has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Starting in 2012, Rafay worked as a Hospitalist at Parkview Health until 2013. From there, Rafay moved to Ministry Health Care and served as a Hospitalist at Saint Michael Hospital from 2013 to 2015. In 2015, Rafay joined the Physician Affiliate Group of New York, P.C. (PAGNY) as an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at Columbia University, based at Harlem Hospital Center, until June 2017. Rafay then worked at StatPearls Publishing, LLC as the Editor In Chief of Geriatrics starting in October 2018. In the same year, Rafay also joined the Physician Affiliate Group of New York, P.C. (PAGNY) again, this time as an Assistant Professor of Geriatrics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, based at Jacobi Medical Center. In 2020, Rafay worked as an Independent Contractor for both Medical Review Institute of America, LLC and Concentra. Finally, in 2021, Rafay joined Carrollton Regional Medical Center as a Hospitalist.

Rafay Latif began their education journey at Karachi University, although it is not specified when they attended or completed their studies there. Rafay then earned their Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) degree from Dow University of Health Sciences between 1998 and 2003.

Later on, Rafay pursued a residency program in Internal Medicine at Columbia University from 2009 to 2012. During this time, they obtained certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine.

In 2017, Rafay furthered their education at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health, where they completed an Executive M.H.A. degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management, which lasted until 2019.

Additionally, in 2017 and 2018, Rafay participated in a Geriatric Fellowship at Hofstra North Shore-LIJ School of Medicine at Hofstra University, specializing in Geriatrics. Rafay obtained board certification in Geriatric Medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine in November 2019.
