Dr Roxane Gajadhar

Dr. Roxane Gajadhar is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in strategic engagement, storytelling, and organizational development across various sectors. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Agency Partnering at Stats NZ, Dr. Gajadhar leads a team to enhance capability within the government data system. Previous roles include Director of Organisational Development at Heritage New Zealand, where oversight of communications and major projects was paramount, and a practice-based PhD focusing on narrative techniques across media. Dr. Gajadhar has also contributed significantly to the New Zealand film industry through leadership roles at the New Zealand Film Commission and various other film and television projects, fostering creative teams and managing large-scale initiatives. Educational qualifications include a PhD and MA in literature from Victoria University of Wellington, alongside a Bachelor's degree in Arts and a journalism qualification from Massey University. Additionally, Dr. Gajadhar has completed screenwriting studies at New York University.
