Ahmed Sharmy

Ahmed Sharmy has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Ahmed started their career as an Electrical Engineer at Egyptian International Pharmaceutical Industries Co. - EIPICO in February 2013, where they worked until May 2014. From there, they moved to Bosch Packaging Technology, where they worked as a Field Service Engineer from May 2014 to January 2020. Ahmed then joined Syntegon as a Field Services Engineer in January 2020 and remained with the company until December 2022. Currently, Ahmed holds the position of Senior Data Analyst at StatsBomb, starting in December 2022.

Ahmed Sharmy attended The German University in Cairo from 2007 to 2012, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering. Following this, they pursued further education in the field of Data Science. In 2021, they enrolled in VIU - Universidad Internacional de Valencia, where they earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Data Science. Concurrently, from 2021 to 2022, they also attended Rome Business School and completed a Master's degree in Data Science. Most recently, in 2022 and 2023, Ahmed joined The German University in Cairo again to obtain a Diploma in Data Science.
