Lilian Heemstra has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Lilian started their career in 2014 as a Sales and Marketing Intern at abe - advanced business events. After completing their internship, they joined Hoogvliet BV as a Head Cashier, where they worked for six years until 2014. Lilian then returned to abe - advanced business events as a Logistics Manager, responsible for managing logistics, marketing, communication, and sales. In 2020, Lilian joined Status Plus as a Project & Event Coordinator, where they contribute to the planning and execution of conferences, symposia, meetings, and events for medical non-profit associations.

Lilian Heemstra attended Herbert Vissers College for their high school education, where they studied Gymnasium. Later on, they enrolled at De Haagse Hogeschool / The Hague University of Applied Sciences from 2011 to 2014, where they pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in European Studies. In 2013, Lilian Heemstra participated in an exchange semester at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia, focusing on International Marketing.
