Santiago Carrion-Arcos began their work experience in 2012 as the Co-Founder and Director of the Associated Whistleblowing Press (AWP), an NGO dedicated to protecting human rights through whistleblowing, investigative journalism, and cryptography. During this time, they coordinated initiatives in multiple countries and collaborated with local media organizations and journalists to publish numerous breaking news stories on espionage, environmental crimes, human rights abuse, secret trade agreements, and fraud. Their tenure at AWP lasted until June 2021. In 2014, Santiago also worked as an External Project Lead for Free Press Unlimited. Currently, Santiago is working as the Activist Campaigns Director at an undisclosed company, starting in January 2023.
Santiago Carrion-Arcos began their education in 2000 at King's College, Soto de Viñuelas, where they earned a High School Diploma in 2006. In the same year, they also received a High School Diploma from Colegio Americano de Quito. Santiago then pursued their Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy at Universidad Complutense de Madrid, completing it in 2012. Santiago later continued their studies and obtained a Master of Arts degree from Freie Universität Berlin in 2019.
