Shankar Garg

Shankar Garg began their career in 2008 as a Systems Engineer at Tata Consultancy Services. In 2012, they joined Honeywell as a Software Engineer, where they gained their first experience with Agile and Scrum. In 2013, they were headhunted by Jabong as an Automation & DevOps Leader, where they implemented the Cucumber BDD platform and used the Appium test platform to automate both iOS and Android apps. In 2014, they joined Packt Publishing as an Author for the Cucumber Cookbook and a Reviewer for the Appium Essentials Book. In 2016, they joined Apress as an Author for the Appium Recipes book. In 2021, they joined Harvard Business Review as an Advisory Council Member. Most recently, in 2022, they joined StatusNeo as Managing Director. During their time at Xebia, they established Xebia's presence in UAE, promoted to Region Head Middle East, and was responsible for driving Xebia's business across various Service Lines. Shankar was also responsible for Key Account Management, developing the Go to Market Strategy, Organic/Inorganic Growth Strategy, and its Execution. In 2022, they focused on the Saudi Market and successfully started multi-million dollar projects with large Public Services, BFSI customers in niche/emerging technologies like Low Code. Shankar also established Dubai as a nearshore delivery center for European customers.

Shankar Garg has an extensive education history. Shankar completed a B.Tech in Information Technology from J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA in 2008, after graduating from O.S.D.A.V. Public School Kaithal, Haryana in 2004 with a 12th (Non Medical) in Physics, Chemistry and Maths. In 2018, they completed courses in Introduction to Marketing from The Wharton School and Introduction to User Design Experience from Georgia Institute of Technology.
