John Gabler has a long and varied career in software engineering. John began their career in 1984 as a Lead Engineer at Boeing, where they developed avionic software in assembly and Ada, and software for expert system based diagnostics in C and software for electronic technical manuals in C++. In 1997, they joined Edward Jones as a Lead Architect, providing internal consulting services to business development teams as they created and maintained financial applications on a large distributed network. In 2000, they joined NuParadigm as a Technical Lead, leading development for a new middleware product until the effort was cancelled due to loss of venture capital funding. In 2001, they joined TDK Technologies, LLC as a Consulting Software Engineer, and Stauder Technologies as a Systems Engineer and Software Developer, developing embedded systems, Android applications and Windows applications in C++, Java and C#. John also served as Senior Systems Engineer, Agile Product Owner, and Developer/Manager at Stauder Technologies.

John Gabler obtained a BSEET in Electronic Hardware and Software from the DeVry Institute of Technology between the years of 1981 and 1984. In July of 2016, they obtained a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)².
