Santiago Panizza

Santiago Panizza has a diverse work experience in the field of data engineering and business intelligence. Santiago is currently working as a Data Engineer at Stayforlong since November 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Big Data Engineer at K-LAGAN from March 2020 to November 2021.

Before joining K-LAGAN, Santiago worked at Despegar, starting in October 2016. During their time there, they held two roles. First, as a Data Engineer, they were responsible for integrating, processing, and distributing valuable information to other areas of the company. This involved tasks such as developing full ETL processes, creating APIs, integrating data into the data lake, managing infrastructure costs, and implementing CI/CD practices. Later, they took on the role of a Business Intelligence Analyst, where they focused on integrating, processing, and distributing valuable information to other areas, particularly from a product view. Their responsibilities included maintaining dashboards, creating KPIs, assessing user requirements, and defining projects.

Before Despegar, Santiago worked at Santander Bank, N.A. as a BI Analyst / Developer from August 2015 to October 2016. Prior to that, they worked at Sustantia Software Solutions as an ETL Developer / BI Analyst at Santander Río Bank from April 2014 to August 2015.

Earlier in their career, Santiago worked at Sabre Holdings as an Associate Tech Sales & Support from December 2012 to December 2013, and at Merck KGaA as a Trainee IT - Infrastructure from April 2011 to April 2012.

Santiago Panizza has a diverse education history. From 2009 to 2015, they attended Universidad Tecnológica Nacional - Facultad Regional Buenos Aires, where they obtained an Engineer's degree in Systems Engineering. In 2019, they enrolled at the University of Buenos Aires to pursue a Master's degree in Mathematics, and they are currently still studying in this program. Prior to their university education, Santiago attended the Instituto Marianista from 2003 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachiller con orientación en Ciencias Naturales.

In addition to their formal education, Santiago has also obtained certifications. In August 2021, they completed the AWS SageMaker Practical Course from Udemy. Santiago also holds a First Certificate in English, which they obtained from the University of Cambridge in December 2008.
