Bidisha Bhattacharya

Bidisha Bhattacharya has a wide range of work experience, beginning in 2016. Bidisha began their career as a Research Intern at the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs, Government of India. Bidisha then worked as a Summer Intern at Invest India. In 2016, they also worked at the Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, where they conducted a study on the relationship between poverty, inequality and growth. In 2017, they were a Consultant at the Fifteenth Finance Commission, Government of India and an Associate Fellow at the Observer Research Foundation. Bidisha then worked as a Research Associate at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. Bidisha also worked at I-PAC (Indian Political Action Committee) as a Central Strategic Research and Insights (SRI) and Political Intelligence Unit (PIU). In 2019, they were a Business Analyst at ThinkBumblebee Analytics Pvt. Ltd. and in 2020, they worked as a Growth Manager at both Scroll Media and stck.me.

Bidisha Bhattacharya obtained their Master of Science (MSc) in Economics from the Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics between 2015 and 2017. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Economics Hons from Bethune College between 2012 and 2015. Bidisha also has an ISC from Auxilium Convent School, which they obtained between 1999 and 2012. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including Academic Writing from SWAYAM MHRD in 2022, Certified Microsoft Innovative Educator from Microsoft in 2021, Literature Search and Reference Management in Academic Writing from PharmaState.academy in 2021, Creative Writing workshop in association with Rupa Publications from Rupa Publications India in 2020, and Lost and Found- The Art of Translation from Oxford Bookstore in 2020.
