Hirshell Parker has had a diverse range of work experience in the healthcare field. Hirshell started their career as a Nurse Technician at Mineral Area Regional Medical Center in 2002 and later worked as a Registered Nurse and House Supervisor at the same facility. In 2005, they joined Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital, where they held positions as a Registered Nurse, Assistant Director of Inpatient Services, Director of Med Surg, and most recently as the Executive Director of Quality and Risk Management. Additionally, they have served as an Adjunct Clinical Instructor at Mineral Area College since 2009.

Hirshell Parker holds a Master's degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Arkansas Grantham. They also obtained a Bachelor's degree in Science in Nursing from Southeast Missouri State University. Additionally, Parker has obtained certification in Continuous Improvement from The University of Texas at El Paso and a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification from LSSBB.
