Engr. Ukaegbu Chimaroke

Engr. Ukaegbu Chimaroke has a diverse work experience in the energy industry. From 2016 to 2020, they worked as a Project Management Technical Officer at Income Electrix Limited, where they successfully executed Non MD metering projects and provided support to the project manager. Engr. Ukaegbu also played a key role in the installation of 110k Non MD mass metering in the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHED) network.

In 2020, Engr. Chimaroke joined the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company as Head Non MD Metering and later became the Revenue Protection Technical Team Lead. In these roles, they developed strategies to increase PHED's monthly revenue and was responsible for improving the collection of Non MD prepaid meters in the network. Engr. Ukaegbu also coordinated with the Meter Asset Provider for meter installations and designed and executed metering projects for revenue protection.

Currently, Engr. Chimaroke is working as a Technical Sales Manager at SteamaCo, a company that offers an advanced IoT smart metering platform. Engr. Ukaegbu'sresponsibilities include helping utilities in Southeast Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa detect and resolve theft in the distribution grid sector and delivering clean, reliable, and low-cost energy in the off-grid sector.

Throughout their career, Engr. Chimaroke has demonstrated strong project management skills, adherence to scope and documentation, and the ability to assess and mitigate project risks.

Engr. Ukaegbu Chimaroke completed their Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of Port Harcourt from 2007 to 2012. Engr. Ukaegbu has also obtained several additional certifications throughout their career, including being registered with The Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) in September 2022. Engr. Ukaegbu became a member of The Nigerian Society of Engineers Headquarters (MNSE) in November 2021. Engr. Ukaegbu holds a Scrum Developer Certified (SDC) from Alison since June 2020, and has completed certifications in areas such as Electric Metering And Revenue Protection, Electrical Safety Basics, Fire Prevention Plans, and Environmental, Health and Safety Certifications (BEAC). However, there is no available information regarding the completion date for their Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
