Josiah Massingill

Josiah Massingill has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Josiah began their career as an Assistant Manager at Penn Station East Coast Subs from September 2007 to August 2009. Josiah then moved on to Tower International as an Assembly Colleague from August 2009 to February 2012. In 2014, they worked as an Animator at Lemon Sky Animation for a year. Josiah then freelanced as an Animator at Gizmo from April 2015 to September 2015. Josiah joined Brazen Animation as an Animation Apprentice in June 2015 and later became a Contract Animator from January 2016 to July 2016. From August 2016 to September 2016, they worked as a Remote Contract Animator at Steamroller Animation. Josiah then worked at Steamroller Animation in various roles, including Lead Animator from October 2016 to June 2017, Supervising Animator from July 2017 to June 2023, and currently holds the position of Animation Director since June 2023.

Josiah Massingill completed an Expert Acting + Animation Fundamentals degree in Character Animation at AnimSquad in 2013. In the same year, they attended a Summer - 2013 Workflow Intensive with Michal Makarewicz at Animation Collabrative. From 2012 to 2013, Josiah pursued a Certificate in Animation Fundamentals specializing in Character Animation at Animation Mentor. In 2014, they enrolled in iAnimate for Basic Rigging - Class 1 of 3, although the end year of this program is not provided.
