Liam Slein, PE, is a seasoned professional in engineering and consulting, currently serving as a Project Engineer at The Steamship Authority since October 2019. With extensive experience beginning as a Mechanical Engineer at the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance from July 2012 to September 2019, Liam has also held significant roles in the U.S. Coast Guard, including Chief of the Prevention Division for both the 1st and 7th Districts. In addition to consulting for Maritime Consultants since January 2012, Liam’s educational background includes two Master of Science in Engineering degrees from the University of Michigan in Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, along with a Bachelor of Science in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the US Coast Guard Academy.
