Farideh Fekrsanati's work experience includes various positions in the field of conservation and art handling. From 2022, they have been serving as the Head of Art Handling at the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam. Prior to this, they worked as the Head of the Conservation Department at the Museum am Rothenbaum (MARKK) from 2019 to 2022. Farideh also held the role of Senior Objects Conservator/Collections Manager at the Tropenmuseum, Afrika Museum, and Museum Volkenkunde from 2004 to 2019. Farideh has also worked at several other institutions including the Gerald R. Ford Conservation Center, Nebraska Historical Society, National Museum of the American Indian (NMAI), Smithsonian Institution, and the Braunschweigisches Landesmuseum. Farideh has extensive experience and expertise in the conservation and handling of artworks and ethnographic objects.
Farideh Fekrsanati obtained a Master's degree in the field of Conservation of archaeological, ethnographic, and decorative arts objects from Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste Stuttgart. Farideh completed their studies at the school from 1994 to 1998.
