Ms. Hawkins, Founder, President and CEO of Steel Point Solutions LLC (Steel Point) has more than twenty years’ experience in the areas of Systems Engineering, Information Assurance and Program Management supporting Department of Defense and Intelligence Community Clients as a civilian and contractor. Her hard work is a product of the lessons gained while supporting her customers, employees and feedback obtained from trusted business advisors and senior level executive mentors. Ms. Hawkins holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Science and Systems from Morgan State University. Mrs. Hawkins is also an alumni of the Rutgers University School of Business Center for Urban Entrepreneurship & Economic Development (CUEED) Pipeline to Inclusive Innovation (PII) initiative program, which aims to increase the number of underrepresented inventors, scientists and technology-focused Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) in federally-funded innovation and technology programs.

Along with her degrees, she holds several industry certifications. Ms. Hawkins is certified by the Program Management Institute (PMI) as a Certified Program Management Professional (PMP), IBM as a certified Senior Project Manager and Consultant, ISC2 as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and ISACA as a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM). Mrs. Hawkins, a 2017 awards winner recipient of the 10th Annual Top 100 MBE Awards, has also been featured on the Karen Hunter show, in the Journal of National Association of Female Executives (NASFE) and has presented at the 2017 NSA Information Assurance Symposium (IAS) where she spoke on “Sustaining a Cyber Workforce” as an emerging small business. She has participated as a panelist to discuss how Steel Point applied its software development processes, IBM’s Cloud Platform, and interns from Morgan State University and Baltimore Community College to develop a cognitive computing application in less than twelve (12) weeks is a fierce champion of STEM. She is utilizing her network, experience and her passion for innovation to provide internship opportunities for minorities, the underemployed and unemployed. Moving forward, Mrs. Hawkins and Steel Point will continue helping the community and providing support to its client’s and their customer’s.
