Kathy Gao

Kathy Gao has a robust background in corporate accounting with significant experience in the energy sector. Currently serving as a Corporate Accountant at Steel Reef since March 2022, Kathy previously worked as a Compliance/Production Accountant at Paramount Resources from September 2018 to March 2023, where responsibilities included regulatory compliance, risk assessment support, and managing Alberta Freehold Mineral tax bookings. Prior roles include General Accountant and JV/AP Accountant at Trilogy Energy Corp from January 2014 to August 2018, with a focus on month-end functions, account reconciliation, and joint venture accounting. Kathy began their career as a Staff Accountant at Shoppers Drug Mart, where comprehensive accounting services were provided. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from The University of Lethbridge and an Accounting degree from Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.
