Michael LaBella has a diverse work experience in the sports industry. Michael has worked as an Assistant Regional Product Director at Steel Sports since 2023. Prior to that, they worked as an Assistant Softball Coach/Director of Analytics at Monroe College starting in 2021. In 2022, they were an Assistant Baseball Director at The Town of Greenwich, CT, and from 2020 to 2022, they served as the Travel Teams Director/Head Coach at Warrior Baseball Academy. In 2018, they were the Director of Baseball Analytics at New York Empire Baseball. During their time at Adelphi University from 2017 to 2019, they were an Adelphi Club Baseball Athlete. Michael also gained experience as a Summer Camp Coordinator at Dom Scala One on One Baseball Camp from 2016 to 2019. Before that, from 2013 to 2019, they were the QABL Mustangs/Colts 18u Head Coach at QABL Baseball League, where they used analytics and sabermetrics to make lineups and game decisions. From 2016 to 2018, they worked as an umpire at RGMVM and as a JV Baseball Head Coach at East Woods School in 2018.
Michael LaBella completed their high school education at Archbishop Molloy High School from 2013 to 2017. Michael then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Sport and Fitness Administration/Management at Adelphi University, which they obtained from 2017 to 2020. In November 2018, they obtained certification in CPR/AED/First Aid from Red Cross Blood Services. Currently, Michael LaBella is studying at the University of Mississippi, working towards a Master's degree in Data Analytics, beginning in 2022.
