Michael Palmer has extensive experience in quality management and engineering, currently serving as the National Quality Manager at Steel & Tube Holdings Ltd since July 2021. In addition, Michael co-owns Farmer Palmer's Produce, overseeing farm operations and a team of seasonal pickers since November 2016. Previously, Michael held the position of Product Technology Manager at Pacific Steel (NZ) Ltd. from June 2017 to June 2020, where responsibilities included providing technical support and product improvement. Michael also worked as a Process Engineer at New Zealand Steel from February 2011 to April 2017, focusing on process control, improvement, and cost-saving initiatives. Michael began the career with a summer internship at Carter Holt Harvey in late 2009. Educationally, Michael holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Material and Process Engineering and a Diploma of Science, both from The University of Waikato, completed in 2010.
