Aileen Strickland McGee

Aileen Strickland McGee is a seasoned professional in the field of interior design and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices, currently serving as the Director of ESG at Steelcase since June 2011. Aileen's expertise involves catalyzing collective action to enhance the wellbeing of people and the planet through research, strategy, and stakeholder engagement. Prior roles at Steelcase include Global Manager of ESG and Senior Design Researcher, where Aileen contributed to innovative solutions for the workplace and educational environments. Aileen's earlier experiences include positions at organizations such as the University of Minnesota and Zimmerman Architectural Studios, as well as leadership roles in cross-country initiatives promoting sustainable practices. Aileen holds a Master’s degree in Interior Design from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, along with a formative study experience in Paris.
