Robert Heitmeier

Robert Heitmeier is an experienced executive with a diverse background in strategic management and operations across multiple industries. Currently serving as Board Chair at Trinity Health Grand Rapids since 2018, Heitmeier's extensive tenure at Steelcase began in 1993, where roles have included Group Vice President for Strategic Markets and General Manager of Steelcase Health, overseeing significant revenue growth and strategic acquisitions. Previous leadership positions at Polyvision included President and General Manager, where achievements included the integration of technology into Steelcase's operations. Heitmeier’s earlier career featured roles in financial planning and analysis at Smiths Aerospace and United Technologies. Robert holds a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from Michigan State University and an MBA from the University of Detroit Mercy.
