Shawn Huston has extensive experience in the healthcare industry, with a focus on quality and informatics. Shawn has held various roles at Steele Memorial Medical Center since 2012, including Chief Quality Officer and Quality & Informatics Executive Director. Additionally, they have served as the Clinical Informatics Lead and Director of Quality Informatics at the same company. Before joining Steele Memorial Medical Center, Shawn worked as a Clinical Systems Administrator at Salud Family Health Care in 2012. Prior to that, they were an EHR System Analyst at Saltzer Medical Group from 1998 to 2012, where they were involved in EMR implementation and training. After this, they pursued a degree in nursing at Boise State University from 1992 to 1996. During this time, they also took pre-nursing courses at the College of Southern Idaho in 1991. In 1996, Shawn completed a private course on CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate).
In 2014, they attended Epic and became credentialed as an in-patient EPIC provider trainer, specializing in Epic Certified Training. Continuing their professional development, in 2007, Shawn completed the eClinicalWorks Certification Course, becoming an eClinicalWorks Certified Clinical Trainer. Shawn also holds a certificate in healthcare risk management from the American Society for Health Care Risk Management.

In 2017, Steele Memorial Clinic concluded new construction of a state of the art 17,000 square foot addition, allowing for a much needed expansion of the Steele Memorial Specialty Clinic.
