Currently, Shawn serves as the Business Owner at Idaho Adventures Inc. since April 2021, fostering a love for the outdoors among individuals and families. In addition, Shawn works as a Medical Surgical Nurse at Steele Memorial Medical Center and has a background as Family Liaison and Staff Recruiter at Wingate Wilderness Therapy, focusing on youth development and family reconnection. Earlier roles include a Wellness Coach at Isagenix International and Assistant Ski Patrol Director at Sundance Ski Resort, emphasizing safety in outdoor activities. Shawn holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Nursing from Weber State University and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the University of Utah.

SMMC is a Medicare Certified, not-for-profit, Level IV Trauma Center, 18-bed Critical Access Hospital and associated Rural Health Clinic. In 2016, Steele Memorial Clinic added a Walk-in Clinic as an additional service line. In 2017, Steele Memorial Clinic concluded new construction of a state of the art 17,000 square foot addition, allowing for a much needed expansion of the Steele Memorial Specialty Clinic.
