José Miguel Sousa

José Miguel Sousa has a work experience that includes being a Data Engineer at SteelEye since March 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Research Fellow at the Bioinformatics and Systems Biology research group, where they were involved in the European Union's Horizon 2020 project DD-DeCaF. Their role there included curating, maintaining, and exploring the OptimModels Python package. Before that, they worked on their Master Thesis Project at the Escola de Engenharia da Universidade do Minho from October 2018 to December 2019.

José Miguel Sousa completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Biology at Universidade do Minho from 2012 to 2015. José Miguel then pursued a postgraduate program in Forensic Genetics at Universidade do Porto from 2015 to 2017. Following that, they enrolled at Escola de Engenharia da Universidade do Minho and completed their Master of Science degree in Bioinformatics from 2017 to 2019.
