Zach Erkkila

Zach Erkkila has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Zach is currently the Director of Engineering at Steelhead Technologies and a Partner at Laurium Labs, both positions starting in 2022. Prior to these roles, Zach served as the Vice President at Benda Engineering from January 2021 to December 2021. Before joining Benda Engineering, Zach worked as a Software Developer at ProNav Marine from March 2014 to December 2021. During their time at ProNav Marine, they were primarily focused on the development of mobile apps and a cloud-based data synchronization system for the ProNav Angler Autopilot System. Some of their notable achievements include designing and implementing the mobile app's GPS and sensor functionality, developing a cloud-based API for user authentication and data synchronization, and creating a bootloader for OTA firmware upgrades.

Prior to ProNav Marine, Zach worked as a Software Developer at REL, Inc. from August 2015 to August 2016, where they were involved in Java development for SURE-Pulse, REL's open-source high strain rate testing software.

Zach's work experience also includes owning and operating Kolmedia Web Solutions from May 2012 to August 2015. Overall, they have demonstrated a strong background in engineering, software development, and leadership roles throughout their career.
