Julie Bowerman

Julie has more than 30 years of experience in transport planning, focusing on supporting both local authorities and private development clients.

Julie joined Steer from the London Borough of Camden where she headed up the traffic and parking team, delivering a range of transport projects from road safety to controlled parking often involving significant amounts of community engagement. She also dealt with planning applications including expert witness roles.

At Steer, Julie leads the integrated design offer covering multi-model design support including feasibility design, engineering design, and microsimulation modeling. Julie has led many studies from preliminary to detailed design, implementation and post-implementation reviews and has extensive experience in dealing with the challenges presented by competing objectives among transport professionals, users, and stakeholders.
