James Lightheart has a diverse work experience with a strong background in the steel industry. James started their career at Orillia Aviation as an Apprentice Mechanic from October 1990 to December 1992. James then worked as a Sales Representative at Scarsview Chrysler from January 1993 to June 1995. Following this, they joined Bonnett's Landscaping as an Equipment Operator + Maintenance personnel from June 1995 to June 2000. During this time, they operated and maintained landscape equipment for industrial projects, including Lake Erie Steel Company.
In 2000, Lightheart began their career in the steel industry at Stelco, where they held various roles. James initially worked as an Operator from June 2000 to April 2005 and then took on the position of Shift Supervisor - Hot Strip Mill Roller from April 2005 to August 2007.
After their tenure at Stelco, Lightheart joined United States Steel Corporation as a Shift Manager-Operating from September 2007 to December 2016. Here, they gained extensive experience in managing shift operations in the steel industry.
Currently, Lightheart is working at STELCO - The Steel Company of Canada since January 2017 as an Operations Shift Manager.
James Lightheart completed their education in a chronological manner, starting with their high school diploma from Kapuskasing District High School, where they studied from 1983 to 1987. Following that, they pursued a diploma in Airframe Mechanics and Aircraft Maintenance Technology/Technician at Centennial College from 1988 to 1990.
