Shan Gopakumar

Shan Gopakumar has a diverse work experience in the industrial sector. Shan started their career as a Practicum Student at Methanex Corporation in 2018, where they gained knowledge about safety requirements, plant practices, and equipment troubleshooting.

In 2019, Shan worked as a Field Engineer- Chemical Recovery Boiler at Paper Excellence, where they were responsible for maintaining the quality of green liquor produced and checking various systems related to the dissolving tank.

Shan then joined Lantic Inc as a Utility Operator in 2020, where their role involved cleaning activities, routine checks, and inspection of products in the production and warehouse areas. Shan also performed safety procedures such as changing filters using hoists.

In the same year, Shan worked at AV Terrace Bay as a Chemical Recovery Boiler Field Operator and later as a Power Boiler Field Operator. Shan'sresponsibilities included monitoring boilers and related equipment, troubleshooting air systems, and ensuring the proper functioning of atomizing steam systems.

Currently, Shan is working as a Power Engineer at STELCO - The Steel Company of Canada, where they collect samples to assess water quality, performs water treatment plant maintenance, and utilizes various equipment and consoles for water treatment processes.

Throughout their work experience, Shan has demonstrated a strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to various roles and responsibilities in the industrial sector.

Shan Gopakumar's education history is as follows:

- From 2018 to 2020, Shan attended Medicine Hat College and obtained a Power Engineering Diploma with Honours in the field of Power Engineering.

- During the same period, Shan also earned a Power Engineering Technology with Honours degree from Medicine Hat College.

- In 2012 and 2013, Shan attended Medicine Hat College and pursued a degree in Early Learning and Child Care.

- From 2006 to 2010, Shan studied at KERALA Jobs and completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse.

- In 2004 and 2006, Shan obtained a General Education Development (GED) degree with a focus on Science from the Council for The Indian School Certificate Examinations.
