Anna Bagley's work experience begins in 1997 when they started as a Paralegal at DLA Piper. Anna then worked as a Lawyer at Corrs Chambers Westgarth from 2001 to 2004, and later as a Lawyer at Baker & McKenzie from 2004 to 2006. Anna then joined Spotless Group as a Commercial Lawyer, where they managed international business matters and played a key role in establishing the company's Hong Kong headquarters.
In 2011, Anna became the General Counsel and Company Secretary at Engenco Limited, where they established an in-house legal, risk, and insurance function. Anna partnered with senior leadership and forged relationships with external partners to strengthen the company's financial position.
Anna joined Programmed in 2014 as the General Counsel, Company Secretary, and Executive Director. Anna provided steady leadership during the company's transition, including the acquisition by Persol Group. Anna was the only Australian-based executive director on the Board.
From 2009 onwards, Anna has been actively involved with the Association of Corporate Counsel Australia, serving in various roles, including Non-Executive Director, Chair of the Finance, Audit, and Risk Committee, Company Secretary, and President of the Victorian Division. Anna has driven the Association's agenda to advance the knowledge and understanding of Australian in-house practice.
In 2020, Anna took on the role of Chair and Non-Executive Director at Stelect, an award-winning medical device company. Anna is involved in preparing the company for Series A capitalization.
Most recently, Anna Bagley joined Medibank in 2023 as a Senior Executive Compliance, where they are responsible for ensuring compliance within the organization.
Anna Bagley has a diverse education history. Anna obtained their Bachelor's degree in Science (BSc) with a major in Biochemistry and Pharmacology from The University of Queensland, where they studied from 1996 to 1999. In the following years, from 1996 to 2001, Anna completed their Bachelor's degree in Laws (LLB) at the same university. Anna then pursued a postgraduate program at The University of Queensland in Information Technology, earning a Graduate Certificate (GradCertIT) in 2001. Finally, Anna attended the University of Melbourne from 2002 to 2008, where they achieved their Master's degree in Laws (LLM) with a specialization in Intellectual Property.
