Jon V.

Jon V. has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and positions. Jon is currently working as the Chief Information Security Officer at Stellar Bank since 2022. Before that, they held the same position at Allegiance Bank from 2017 to 2022, where they also served as the Senior Vice President of Information Security and Vice President.

Prior to their roles in the banking sector, Jon had a long and impressive career in the United States Air Force (USAF) from 1991 to 2020. Jon served as an Intelligence Specialist, F-16 Fighter Pilot, and Cyberspace Operations Officer. Jon currently holds the rank of Lt Colonel and serves as the Division Chief of Strategy for Cyberspace Operations in the USAF Reserves.

In addition to their military experience, Jon worked as a Cyber Security Instructor at the SANS Institute from 2014 to 2018, where they taught and mentored students in various security courses. Jon was also a Senior Director of Information Technology & Cyber Security at Moore Control Systems, Inc. from 2014 to 2016, where they led a team and guided the execution of IT operations, with a focus on cybersecurity consulting in the Oil and Gas vertical.

Jon's previous roles also include Manager of Enterprise IT Security at AIG in 2013, where they were responsible for global cyber war-gaming initiatives and incident response planning. Jon also served as a Practice Lead for Technology Integration & Cyber Security at Booz Allen Hamilton from 2011 to 2013.

Before entering the cybersecurity field, Jon held various roles at Villanti & Sons, Printers, Inc. from 1997 to 2011, including CEO, CIO / Vice President of Information Technology, and Vice President of Operations.

Jon V. completed their education at the University of Vermont Grossman School of Business, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management.
