Alfonso Acosta

Alfonso Acosta is an experienced software engineer and founder with a diverse background in software development, technical management, and consulting. Currently serving as a software engineer at Stellar Development Foundation since March 2020, Alfonso specializes in open-source decentralized payment protocols utilizing blockchain technology. Previously, Alfonso founded Syntactic Sugar, providing software and technical management consulting services. Notable past roles include tech lead at Weaveworks, where contributions included maintaining the Flux open-source project, and CTO at Certus Operations, overseeing backend and embedded systems development. With experience at companies such as Spotify and Vector Fabrics B.V., Alfonso has developed expertise in a wide range of technologies including Golang, Bluetooth, and microservices architecture. Alfonso holds master's degrees in Telecommunications and Computer Science from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, respectively.
