Punch Moulton has had an extensive work experience spanning over several decades. Starting in 1978, they began their career as an Air Force Officer in the United States Air Force. During their time in the Air Force, they held various leadership positions, including Vice Commander of the Seventh Air Force and Commander of the 18th Wing. In these roles, they supervised thousands of personnel and managed significant budgets for operations.

In 2004, Moulton transitioned to a civilian role as the Director of the US Northern Command Standing Joint Force Headquarters, where they led a team responsible for rapid deployable command and control for military operations in the US. Punch successfully coordinated efforts with various government agencies to protect security in the North America region.

Continuing their commitment to national security, Moulton joined the United States European Command as the Director of Operations in 2008. In this role, they directed and supervised all US military operations in the European Region, supporting NATO and US national security interests.

Punch Moulton's education history starts in 1974 when they enrolled in the United States Air Force Academy, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics until 1978. Punch went on to attend Golden Gate University from 1986 to 1988, earning a Master's degree in Public Administration. Moulton then joined the National War College from 1994 to 1995, where they obtained a Master's degree in National Security Strategy. In 2004, they attended Syracuse University - Maxwell School for the National Security Leaders Course. Lastly, in 2010, they participated in the Defense Policy Seminar at The George Washington University's Elliott School of International Affairs. Additionally, Moulton holds a Security Clearance rating of Top Secret SCI (DCID1/14 Eligible), which was obtained around March 2016 through the Single Scope Background Investigation.
