Richard Chen

Richard Chen has extensive work experience in the technology and analytics industry. Richard started their career in 2008 as a Software Test Engineer at SAP. In 2010, they moved to TELUS as a Business System Analyst. From 2011 to 2013, they were a Graduate Researcher at UBC Sauder School of Business. In 2013, they joined Accenture as a Consulting Analyst and held various roles until 2019, including Technology Advisory Manager, Technical Program Manager, Technology Advisory Service Delivery Lead- IT Operations, Enterprise IT Strategy Consultant, Multi Stream Delivery Lead, Technical Lead, Team Lead - Managed Services, and Technical Business Analyst (Development). In 2019, they moved to Slalom as Western Canada AI and Product Innovation Leader, Senior Business Architect, Engagement Manager, Global AI/ML Offering Business Advisory Lead -AI/ML, Engagement Manager, and Engagement Manager. In 2022, they joined StellarAlgo as Vice President of Product Management and Vice President Sales Engineering.

Richard Chen holds two degrees from The University of British Columbia: a Masters of Engineering (M.Eng) in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications, and an Honours Bachelors of Applied Science (B.A.Sc) in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Richard also has four certifications: a Data Driven Consulting (DDC) certification from Kellogg Executive Education obtained in May 2019, a SAFe 4.0 Practitioner certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. obtained in June 2017, a Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) certification from Scrum.org obtained in April 2017, and an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (CLF) certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) obtained in August 2019.
