Nasreen Jessani

Nasreen Jessani currently serves as the Head of Knowledge, Impact, and Policy (KIP) Cluster and Senior Fellow at the Institute of Development Studies, and as an Extraordinary Associate Professor at Stellenbosch University. Jessani holds positions on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Association for Global Health and as a Board Member for the Global Forum on Innovation in Health Professional Education at The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. Experience includes serving as a Faculty Associate at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, where contributions focus on health systems strengthening, and as a Senior Knowledge Management Expert for the World Health Organization's TDR program, enhancing operational research capacity for improving public health. Previous roles encompass strategic advisory positions, including senior strategic advisor for the HIV Control Working Group at the Centre for Infectious Disease Research in Zambia. Jessani's educational background includes a DrPH in International Health Systems from Johns Hopkins and various degrees in global health and development evaluation from renowned institutions.
