Silke Rothkegel van Velden

Silke Rothkegel van Velden is a co-founder and part-time director at Thuma Mina Teaching, a non-profit organization focused on enhancing access to quality education in South Africa through peer-reviewed video lessons. Silke also serves as a project manager at Stellenbosch University's Research on Socioeconomic Policy (ReSEP), overseeing multiple projects and managing workshops, conferences, and seminars. Significant fieldwork experience includes assessments commissioned by UNICEF in Namibia aimed at improving educational outcomes. With a strong academic background in economics and program management, Silke has developed expertise in data analysis and project administration, complemented by experience as a treasurer and various internships with the International Monetary Fund and TradeMark Southern Africa.
