Emilia Maia has over 25 years of work experience, primarily in the pharmaceutical industry. Emilia started their career as a Product Manager at SmithKline Beecham in Portugal, where they successfully introduced new products and protected sales of established brands. Emilia then moved on to roles such as Commercial Analysis Manager, Senior Product Manager, and Marketing Operations Manager, where they implemented strategies to drive growth, increase brand awareness, and improve market penetration.Emilia later joined GSK, where they served as a Senior Manager, Health Systems Strategy, leading initiatives to uncover customer needs and improve online presence. Emilia also held the position of First Line Leader, Vaccine Inside Sales, managing a multimillion-dollar book of business and achieving double-digit revenue growth. Currently, Emilia is working as a Project Director, North America at STEM.

Emilia Maia holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Marketing from Universidade Católica Portuguesa. Emilia also has a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Economics from Northeastern University. Emilia has obtained a Certificate in Professional Writing in English Language and Literature/Letters from the University of Pennsylvania. Emilia also holds a Certificate in Project Management in Six Sigma Green Belt from Villanova University. Currently, Emilia is pursuing their MA in journalism with a focus on Communication and Media Studies at New York University. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in "How to Ask Productive Questions" from LinkedIn in 2021 and "Effective Listening" from LinkedIn in 2020. Emilia is also an Advanced Communicator Bronze certified by Toastmasters International.
