Brian Marquez Montoya

Brian Marquez Montoya currently serves as an AP Spanish Teacher, Department Lead, and Instructional Coach at STEM Preparatory Schools since July 2020. Prior experience includes participation as a 2020 Corps Member with Teach For America, where selection occurred from over 44,000 applicants to teach in under-resourced public schools in Los Angeles, coupled with intensive training to enhance student success. Brian also contributed as a Manager’s Assistant at Associated Students UCLA, providing administrative support and assisting in project management tasks, and worked as a Youth Development Specialist/Coach at First Star, Inc., where workshops and activities were developed for high school foster youth. Brian holds a Bachelor of Arts in Development Economics and International Development / Spanish from UCLA and is pursuing a Master of Education in Urban Education and Leadership at Loyola Marymount University, expected to graduate in April 2024.
