STEM Up is an international organization dedicated to empowering girls and young women to pursue careers in STEM and advocating for children’s right to education worldwide. In a world where women remain underrepresented in STEM fields, STEM Up’s mission is critical: we provide programs, mentorship, and resources that equip girls with the skills, confidence, and opportunities to succeed in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Founded and led by Jehan Idsassi, STEM Up has implemented transformative initiatives including the 2023 STEM Up Summer Program, the Winter 2026 “STEM Up Local: Empowering Girls Through Educational Toolkits”, and the upcoming STEM Up Tutoring Program, all designed to increase accessibility to STEM education and foster young women’s academic growth. Supported by competitive grants such as the Elks National Foundation Cornerstone Grant, GripTape Learning Grant, and Hershey’s Heartwarming Grant, STEM Up has expanded its reach and impact. Nationally recognized for advocacy and innovation through Digital4Good webinars and Platform Magazine, STEM Up continues to champion equity and representation in STEM, ensuring that girls and young women have the tools and opportunities to thrive in fields where they are historically underrepresented.
