Martin O'Keane

Martin O'Keane has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Martin is currently working at STEMCELL Technologies as an Associate Director in Engineering since October 2022. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Manager in Systems Engineering at the same company from April 2021 to September 2022, and as a Senior Mechanical Engineer from June 2015 to April 2021.

Before joining STEMCELL Technologies, Martin worked as a Technical Services Director at the Dept. of Physics and Astronomy, University of British Columbia, from February 2009 to May 2015.

Martin also held the position of Head of Engineering at SpinX Technologies SA from November 2005 to August 2008, where they were involved in the development and production of an innovative analytical instrument for pharmaceutical research.

Martin's earlier experiences include working as a Development Manager at Zimmer GmbH from January 2002 to April 2005, as a Project Manager at Sulzer Orthopedics Ltd. from February 1999 to December 2001, and as a Design Engineer at Methode Electronics from September 1996 to December 1998.

Martin O'Keane completed their education in a concise manner. Martin earned a Bachelor's degree in Product Design Engineering from the University of Glasgow between 1991 and 1996. During their studies, they also attended Hanzehogeschool Groningen and obtained an Ing. degree in Design and Construction from 1994 to 1995. Later, Martin pursued further education at Private Hochschule Wirtschaft (PHW) from 2001 to 2002, where they specialized in Business Administration with a focus on Project Management and obtained a Nachdiplom-FH degree.
