Tim Daynard

Tim Daynard has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Tim started their career in 1989 at Merck Frosst as a Co-op. Tim then worked as an NSERC Industrial Post-doc at Ballard Power Systems from 1998 to 2000. Following that, they joined Kinetek Pharmaceuticals as a Scientist and later became the Manager of Chemistry. In 2004, they joined QLT Inc. as an Associate Director of Medicinal Chemistry, where they led the medicinal chemistry department and worked on pre-clinical drug development projects. From 2009 to 2012, Tim worked at QPD as a Senior Director of Research, overseeing pharmaceutical R&D efforts. Tim also held a part-time position as the Director of Medicinal Chemistry at Inimex Pharmaceuticals Inc. during the same period. From 2012 to 2017, they worked at QLT Inc. / Novelion Therapeutics as the Senior Director of Development Operations, managing clinical programs and overseeing the approval of a medical device. In 2018, they joined Phoenix Molecular Designs as the Senior Director of Translational Research, where they focused on the development of targeted therapies for cancer. Currently, Tim is the Associate Director of Business Operations at STEMCELL Technologies.

Tim Daynard has a PhD in an unspecified field of study from The University of British Columbia and a BSc in Chemistry from the University of Victoria. In addition, they have obtained a PMP certification from PMI in March 2018.
