Stemit
Stemit is working with record labels and rights owners to create “stems” from existing songs. Stems are the isolated vocals, guitars, bass, keyboards, drums and other tracks that go into the final mix of a song. Our goal is to create a new asset for the music industry which we will help manage and distribute. With over 30M songs in the marketplace, there is the potential to build a library of over 100M stems. Stems can be purchased by DJs for remixing, movie studios for background tracks, game developers, music artists, etc. Where a song sells for $.99, stems could be sold for $0.99 each or more, vastly increasing the total value of a song. The potential of stem market now has the attention of the rights owners and is projected to grow to $4B in the near future.
