Umakant Soni

Umakant Soni is a seasoned technology leader and entrepreneur with extensive experience in artificial intelligence and innovation ecosystems. Currently serving as Chairman and CEO of AI Foundry since April 2019, Soni focuses on addressing the unique needs of developing markets through tailored AI solutions. As a co-founder and former CEO of ARTPARK, Soni played a pivotal role in establishing a significant AI and robotics research initiative in India. Soni co-founded pi Ventures, an early-stage venture fund specializing in AI and IoT, and has held key positions at various organizations including Science Inc., LUNAR Design, Vimagino, Edujini Labs, and Wipro BPO. An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, Soni holds a Master of Technology in Engineering and Management.
