James Walters

James Walters is currently a Career Coach at Step Ahead. James previously worked as Commercial Director at The Tree Group from April 2016 to June 2019. There, they were responsible for the creation of systems, processes, procedures, and content for sales, marketing, and website services. In their role, they developed a 9-step Business Growth Blueprint that included Strategy, CRM, research, hero statements, lead qualification framework, sales and marketing SLA, content plan, sales process, and reporting. Additionally, they were in charge of staff recruitment, management, and training. Under their leadership, the company launched a subscription model for business growth services.

From January 2014 to September 2016, James Walters worked as Partnership Manager at JRM Group. In this role, they were responsible for strategy, business development, sales, and marketing for the Nissan Motorsport GT3 in EME and North America. During their time at the company, they increased turnover by +22% in 2014 and +145% in 2015. Additionally, they built a sales pipeline in 2016 of £2.7m ahead of the winter sales season. New sales and launch of programmes were achieved in 2016 with car sales and new racing programmes in Germany and Italy. Furthermore, they brokered a deal with Nissan to sign the first young driver, outside Japan and GT Academy, as NISMO Athlete for Blancpain GT Series programme.
