Matthew Brown is an experienced technology professional specializing in digital signal processing and software development. Currently serving as the Director and fractional CTO for Step-In CTO, Matthew supports Sydney-based tech startups by providing a comprehensive startup experience with expertise in design, frontend, backend, and algorithms. Previous roles include Senior Research DSP Engineer and Senior DSP Engineer at Dolby Laboratories, where Matthew contributed to the development of speech recognition technology and audio enhancement for conferencing systems. Matthew's career also includes key positions at Cochlear, BAE Systems Australia, and other organizations, with a strong focus on audio technologies, machine learning, and circuit design. Matthew holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of New South Wales.
