Fraud Team Lead at Step

Elaine Greer has extensive experience in the field of fraud prevention and risk management. Elaine began their career at NCI, Inc. in 2010 as a Program Integrity Analyst, where they worked as a fraud investigator until 2016.

Following that, Elaine joined Lyft in 2016 as a Fraud and Risk Specialist, where they played a crucial role in analyzing identity fraud and implementing policy and workflow changes. Elaine was promoted to Senior Fraud and Risk Specialist and took on additional responsibilities, such as managing offshore teams and presenting analysis reports to executives. Eventually, they became a Fraud Quality Assurance Specialist, where they supervised the QA team and played a key role in procuring the fraud QA system.

Since 2020, Elaine has been working at Step as a Fraud QA Analyst, where they have developed and delivered Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies, and workflows for the Fraud Team. Elaine has also been involved in the development of the first QA program for the team and has utilized Looker to report essential risk metrics. Moreover, Elaine has led cross-functional projects with various teams, utilizing loss metrics to drive product changes and collaborations.

Throughout their career, Elaine has showcased their ability to conduct independent reviews across different products and provide real-time feedback. Elaine has also demonstrated their passion for teamwork, both within the Fraud Team and by collaborating with other departments such as Trust & Safety, Data, Engineering, Compliance, Disputes, and Customer Experience.

Elaine Greer studied Hospitality Administration/Management at National Park College. Elaine also obtained certifications in Bar & Beverage Management and Food and Beverage Management from National Park Community College in 2006.
