Healy Thompson

Healy Thompson is a seasoned professional in advocacy and education, currently serving as Senior Manager of Advocacy at the Stephen Lewis Foundation since June 2014, with a progressive career at the Foundation that includes roles such as Senior Development Officer and Manager of Community Campaigns. In academia, Healy has been a Ph.D. candidate in Gender, Feminist, and Women's Studies at York University since 2008 and served as Adjunct Faculty in Gender Studies at Queen's University in 2012, receiving the Gender Studies Annual Teaching Award for excellence in teaching. Previous experience includes key positions at the Center for Health and Gender Equity (CHANGE) and the Global Justice: Student Global AIDS Campaign, demonstrating extensive skills in community organizing and policy advocacy, alongside a solid educational background including a Ph.D. in progress and two additional degrees in Women's Studies and Economics.
