Qualifying as a chartered legal executive in 2009, Chris is an experienced senior associate, specialising in employment law since 2013. Prior to this, Chris worked in family law.
An avid believer in prevention being better than cure, Chris is a key member of the HRExpress service, providing pragmatic day-to-day HR and employment law advice. This allows the clients to have confidence, not only in the decisions they are making, but also about how those decisions are put into practice.
Chris prides himself on not just churning out black letter law advice, which any old employment lawyer can do. Instead, he goes out of his way to get to know his clients. This way, Chris can advise his clients with the benefit of understanding their wants and needs.
Chris advises on the full spectrum of employment law, including, redundancy, managed exits, business reorganisations, settlement agreements, disciplinary and grievances, capability issues and discrimination. He has a particular interest in litigation and represents both employers and employees in the Employment Tribunal. This gives him an invaluable insight into the mind of the Tribunal; an insight he is able to apply to his day-to-day advice work.
Chris supports organisations from a range of sectors but has a particular interest in the food and drink sector.
