Rebecca is a solicitor in the Church Law team. She supports Alison Stock, the Registrar for the Diocese of Exeter, by providing legal advice on all areas of ecclesiastical and secular law which may apply to churches and religious communities. She advises on land matters including ownership and management of all church buildings together with the glebe and parsonage portfolios.
Rebecca also advises church-based charities on their constitution, statutory compliance, incorporation, and winding up.
Upon qualification as a solicitor, Rebecca worked in the Family Law team before deciding to pursue her interest in Charity law by moving to the Church Law team.
Rebecca has a law degree from the University of Reading (2014 2:1) and achieved a distinction in her LPC from the University of Law Bristol in 2017. She qualified as a solicitor in 2021 having undertaken her training contract with Stephens Scown.
Rebecca is a member of the Ecclesiastical Law Society. Outside of work Rebecca enjoys traveling, walking, and paddle boarding.
