Derek Van Barham

Derek Van Barham is currently the Communications & Content Manager at Steppenwolf Theatre Company. Derek has held this position since March 2020. Prior to that, they were the Marketing Assistant at Steppenwolf Theatre Company from August 2021 to March 2020. Derek has also worked as the Marketing Coordinator at Hubbard Street Dance Chicago from June 2018 to March 2020, the Studio Manager at Rebecca Marie Art INC from January 2016 to December 2018, and the Audience Services Associate at Emerald City Theatre from April 2015 to January 2017.

Derek Van Barham has a Master of Fine Arts from Roosevelt University in Theatre/Theater and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Mississippi in the same field.

They are on a team with Brandon Jones - Video Producer, Kenya Thames - Advertising Marketing Assistant, and Christopher Huizar - Lead Designer. Derek Van Barham reports to Joel Moorman, Creative Director & Interim Director of Marketing.
